Overview
Eurocode 7 Training is a workshop aimed at informing geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists about the changes in site investigation practices due to the new British Standards influenced by Eurocode 7. The course covers updates on publication, revision, and implementation, focusing on soil description through lectures and practical sessions. Led by an experienced engineering geologist involved in drafting new standards, the one-day course includes topics such as coarse soils, fine soils, organic soils, and man-made soils.

Course Content
Eurocode 7 (EC7) Training
“Eurocode 7 is the British Standard which controls the working of geotechnical engineering, and have affected the British Standards (Codes) under which investigations in the UK were carried out. UK working practice has changed, and continues to evolve to meet these new requirements.
This workshop is designed to brief practicing geologists, engineers and environmental scientists on the changes to site investigation practice given by the new British Standards, including an update on publication, revision, and implementation, before spending most of the day concentrating on the current requirements for the description of soils. This will be delivered through lectures on the changes and on soil description followed by practical sessions on soil samples.
