EarthworksTesting–Grading analysis, Plate Load testing moisture content. Understanding these tests and reviewing the certificates.
Earthworks Specification–The standard Highways Work Series 600 and the site-specific specification. Understanding The testing requirements and other information detailed in these specifications.
Earthwork Compaction
Understanding What method compaction is, how to plan this activity, selecting compaction equipment and control methods, including monitoring, and recording the operation.
Compaction testing–Which test to select, interpretation of the results and common issues.
Earthworks Productivity
Plan a major cut fill operation in teams to ensure the most efficient use of plant, material, and labour. Understand how to calculate volumes, placement rates, plant capacity, site restrictions, diesel consumption and carbon footprint to understand the optimum scenario.
The course contains group discussions and examples of real-life earthworks projects and documentation.
