Steven is a digital transformation, information and asset management specialist with over 25 years’ experience across infrastructure, rail engineering, government property, renewable energy, nuclear energy, water infrastructure, disaster risk modelling, the built environment, environmental sectors and many more.
He focuses on large-scale digital transformation, change management (including training) and Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) strategies – including system integration, enterprise architecture and Common Data Environment (CDE) implementation. His expertise includes engineering and technical information management, geospatial and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital twins and information governance.
Steven is an industry leader in digital and information management. He has created and delivered training courses to thousands of professionals over the last decade. He is a Principal Tutor for the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and delivers Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital asset management training for the British Standards Institution (BSI), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
He has held senior leadership, advisory and strategic roles with the World Bank, WSP, Skanska, and United Kingdom Government departments such as the Cabinet Office and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Steven has also chaired and contributed to groups including BIM4Infrastructure UK (part of the UK BIM Alliance), the Business Information Systems Group at the British Computer Society (BCS) and the Asset Management Special Interest Group at the Association for Geographic Information (AGI).
