Concrete

This one-day concrete training course is designed for Foremen and Site Supervisory Personnel. The course covers a range of topics including concrete properties, materials, testing techniques, and management on-site. Participants will engage in practical laboratory exercises and learn about early-age cracking, sampling, and testing procedures. The course aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage concrete projects. The training is conducted by experienced tutor Tony Binns MCIPD (Chartered) MICT.

The Concrete Training course focuses on understanding the properties of concrete, constituent materials, consistency requirements, checking cohesion, air-entrained concrete, strength, and quality. The course includes practical exercises such as sampling fresh concrete, slump tests, flow table tests, air meter tests, cube making, storing and curing cubes, cube crushing, and question and answer sessions. The course duration is one day.
