Building efficiency in the construction sector with AI driven technology

Synergie Launches Suite of Training Courses to Help Drive Automation, Innovation and Cost Savings Through AI in the Construction Industry.

As AI continues to play an increasingly prominent role across the construction sector, leading IT, Construction and Infrastructure Training company, Synergie Training is launching a suite of Generative AI Courses for Construction.

In a dynamic industry often plagued by operational, safety and scheduling concerns, the Generative AI Courses for Construction are designed to give professionals practical knowledge of how to spot opportunities, manage risk and apply AI to real-world challenges.

The construction industry has a reputation as a traditional, hands-on industry with skilled tradespeople and well-established processes. AI will never replace the fundamental need for a skilled workforce, but there are so many opportunities for construction companies of all sizes to use AI to drive automation, efficiency and innovation, whilst saving costs. – Clark Hunter, Sales Director

Four AI in Construction Courses Now Available

Synergie Training is offering four AI in construction courses:

  • Generative AI for Executives in Construction
  • Leadership in the Age of AI
  • Generative AI for Construction: A Practical Introduction
  • Shadow AI in Organisations: Risks, Detection, and Responsible Enablement

AI for Senior Leaders

The Executive course, designed for senior leaders in the construction industry, focuses on helping decision-makers understand and leverage AI tools like ChatGPT to enhance efficiency and strategic decision-making. Participants learn about generative AI, strategic use cases, risks and governance issues, and how to evaluate AI opportunities within their organisations.

AI for Practical On-Site Use

Meanwhile, site and project managers, quantity surveyors and SME construction businesses will benefit from the Practical Introduction course. Participants learn practical applications of generative AI tailored to their daily tasks, such as drafting reports, summarising contracts, and planning task sequences.

Importantly, participants will also be taught how to identify appropriate tasks for AI, and when human expertise should be relied on instead.

Understanding and Managing Shadow AI

Despite AI’s potential, as employees learn about its benefits, unsanctioned AI tools are increasingly being used within organisations. This use of AI, known as Shadow AI, can place security and operational risks on a company.

That’s why companies need to understand how to recognise Shadow AI and vitally, how to respond to it without killing innovation in the workplace.

The Shadow AI in Organisations course, targeted at IT, compliance, HR and digital transformation experts, will teach participants about Shadow AI, its risks, detection methods, and governance strategies to protect their organisations without hindering innovation.

AI is already making a positive impact on the construction sector. However, to unlock its full potential, a strong synergy is needed between AI tools and the construction professionals who use them. Construction companies who adopt AI will need to upskill their workforce to gain maximum benefit from AI. Empowering teams with the skills to get the most out of AI will in turn help to drive efficiencies in project management, streamline scheduling and ultimately help lower construction costs.
