Openroads Designer Drainage design
- Learn to create a drainage network with flows attached.
- Place outfall headwall, inlets, and pipes between manholes.
- Create catchments from shapes and assign to inlets.
- Calculate hydraulics, use scenarios, and confirm success.
Overview
This course teaches participants how to design a basic drainage network and connect flows within the system. Topics covered include placing outfall headwalls, inlets, and pipes, creating catchments from shapes, and assigning catchments to inlets. Participants will also learn how to calculate hydraulics, use scenarios and alternatives, compute scenarios, and confirm computation success. The course duration is one day.

Course Content
In this course, you will learn how to create a simple drainage network and attach flows to the system.
You will learn how to place an outfall headwall, inlets and pipes between manholes.
Finally, you will learn how to create catchments from shapes and assign each catchment to an inlet.
Once you have a layout, this course will show you how to calculate hydraulics, how to use scenarios and alternatives, how to compute a scenario and how to confirm the success of the computation.
