Eurocode 2 & 7 for Bridge Engineers
- Eurocode 2 & 7 for Bridge Engineers: Design standards for concrete and geotechnical design in bridges.
- Course provides background on Eurocodes 2 and 7, with practical workshop sessions.
- Delegates will learn to apply Eurocode 2 to beams, slabs, piers, foundations, and more.
- Design aspects covered include flexure, shear, axial loading, punching shear, and fatigue.
- Course also covers Eurocode 7 for foundation design and retaining structures.
Overview
The "Online Eurocode 2 & 7 for Bridge Engineers" course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Eurocode 2 and Eurocode 7 design standards for structural concrete and geotechnical design in bridges. Participants will gain knowledge on design principles, materials, structural analysis, and practical application of the codes to bridge elements. The course includes workshops for hands-on experience and covers topics such as traffic loading, foundation design, and retaining structures. This 2-day course is designed for Structural Engineers with some prior knowledge of concrete design and Eurocodes.

Course Content
Introduction
Eurocode 2 is the new design standard for structural concrete in bridges. Eurocode 7 is the design standard for geotechnical design. This course will provide background to the provisions in the codes and explain how to apply them to bridge structures. Practical workshop sessions allow delegates to get to grips with the details and be confident of using Eurocodes 2 and 7 for real projects.
