WORKSHOP SUMMARY

Earned Value Management (EVM) increasingly plays a key part in an organization’s reporting of performance and reducing waste. This workshop explores the key fundamental principles of EVM and how to configure, deploy and report EVM using P6 Release 8. This workshop includes the theory and concepts of EVM and explains the algorithms used in EVM and demonstrates the correct configurations P6 EPPM Release 8 and the options available.

Understanding the standard data that is available is a key component of EVM reporting and this workshop explores how additional data can be made available when using the Primavera reporting database.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP?

• This workshop provides a solid background to EVM theory with proven techniques and also empowers application administrators to configure the Primavera P6 EPPM application correctly
• You should attend this workshop if you are using P6 Release 8 and intend to implement EVM performance metrics
• This workshop will also provide implementers with a solid understanding of what can and cannot be achieved in P6 EPPM with “out of the box” EVM configuration
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

• Workshop attendees will understand the EVM concepts and algorithms and how and what configuration decisions are required when implementing EVM in P6 EPPM
• Another key objective of this workshop is to understand the standard EPPM data available and also how to access the potential data available from the Reporting Database
• Users and administrators will be empowered with the knowledge required to implement EVM in Primavera

WORKSHOP TOPICS

• The theory and concepts of EVM
• Understanding the algorithms used in EVM
• How to configure P6 EPPM and understating the decisions to be made
• Understanding the standard data available within a standard EPPM P6 environment and the additional data available when using the Primavera reporting database
