Overview
The COBie Training course provides an understanding of COBie and its applications in the construction industry and asset management. Participants learn to create COBie files from various BIM platforms. The half-day course covers topics like COBie introduction, best practice documentation, production methods, authoring, and verification. Recommended prerequisites include knowledge of architectural design, drafting, or engineering, as well as basic Microsoft Excel skills. The course is offered in various locations in Scotland.

Course Content
Overview
Delegates will develop an understanding of what COBie is and its uses, both as an integral element of the Government’s Level 2 mandate as well as in the broader context of the construction industry and beyond into asset and facilities management. On completion of the course, delegates will be able to produce COBie files from all common BIM platforms.
Duration
Half Day (9:00am – 12:30pm)
Prerequisites
Underlying knowledge of Architectural design, Drafting or Engineering practises is recommended. Experience of using CAD packages is advantageous but not essential. Delegates should have a working understanding of Microsoft Windows 7 and basic Microsoft Excel skills.
