BIM - The Beginning

This course is delivered in plain English without the use of jargon and terminology and is ideal for anyone looking at BIM for the first time, it addresses any fears and concerns in an informative and concise way. It introduces several BIM principles, and considers the implications this has on contractual deliverables before exploring some of the software and technology at the heart of BIM. Upon completion you will have a thorough understanding of BIM and its possible implications for you and your organisation.

We have arranged the information into three sections, these incorporate the ISO19650 series of standards definitions where applicable, and the UK government BIM Learning Outcomes Framework, as a good guide to BIM knowledge requirements.

To cover every point on the framework would take longer than we have available, but we will be exploring the most salient aspects. The different parts cover:-

Part One
