Construction projects often involve large capital sums, challenging delivery times and significant change and variation. The construction contract monitors, controls and administers the project and defines the relationship between client and contractor and a shared aim to “get finished on time and deliver value for money”.
The FIDIC Contract Suite form the most widely used construction contract family globally for the design, construction and delivery of projects.
The FIDIC suite includes construction, design and build, EPC contract approaches as well as short forms and consultancy contracts.
This One-day course provides a high-level introduction to the three key FIDIC contract forms: Construction (Red Book), Plant & Design Build (Yellow), and Short form (Green Book).

The tutor is a Chartered Civil Engineer and fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers with more than 25 years’ experience with consultant, contractor and client organisations. He is an independent consultant and provides technical, commercial and contractual advice and support across the construction industry. He has significant practical experience in the application of construction contracts, has acted as an expert witness on several occasions, published technical articles and lectures to industry and academia on a regular basis. He is also a member if the Academy of Experts and an accredited Construction Mediator.
