This course aims to provide participants with an understanding of the NEC3 family of contracts and its core objectives compared to traditional contracts. By the end of the session, participants should be able to identify when to use specific NEC3 contracts, develop contract documents, evaluate tenders, and manage contracts effectively as Project Managers under the Engineering & Construction Contract (ECC). The program covers the development of the NEC3 family, flexibility, clarity, simplicity, and the stimulation of good project management practices. Critics' perspectives on the NEC will also be discussed.
