Course Content
The FIDIC contracts are a well-known and widely respected family of construction contracts used throughout the world. The Red (Construction), Yellow (Plant, Design and Build), and the Silver (EPC/ Turnkey) contracts are the most recognisable and underwent
a significant review and update in 2017.
The FIDIC Short Form (Green book) construction contract has also undergone significant revision, and a new fully updated version was released in 2021. Revised and now intended as a contract for more significant works than the previous version, the Green book has increased in size, coverage and robustness, borrowing many of the processes from the Other FIDIC contracts.
This One-day course will outline the key elements, structure, and operation of the FIDIC Green Book, provides an overview of setting up the contract, and delivers a clear, practical and systematic introduction to its use in practice.
The day will provide a high level of commercial and contractual understanding of the FIDIC Green book and the confidence to use it in practice.
The presentations are underpinned throughout by discussion, case study and considered opinion. The course is applicable across the construction sector, whether you work for client, consultant, or contractor.
