Course duration: 2 Days
Cost: £595 + VAT
This course covers the same PRINCE2 method and the Processes, Themes and Principles as the Foundation course, but to a much greater level of detail in order to prepare delegates for the Practitioner examination. In this course, we will dissect the management products used in each Theme and Process for full understanding of how they should be used to manage a project. As you would expect, delegates should have attended the Foundation course and achieved the Foundation level accreditation before attending this course.
The purpose of the Practitioner qualification is to confirm whether the candidate has achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor PRINCE2 in a scenario situation. A successful Practitioner candidate should, with suitable direction, be able to start applying the method to a real project but may not be sufficiently skilled to do this appropriately for all situations. Their individual project management expertise, complexity of the project and the support provided for the use of PRINCE2 in their work environment will all be factors that impact what the Practitioner can achieve.
Candidates should be able to apply and understand how to tailor PRINCE2 effectively to a project within an organization environment supporting PRINCE2. Specifically candidates should:-
Understand the relationships between the roles, management products, principles, themes, techniques and processes
Be able to apply the principles, themes and processes to a project
Be able to create and assess management products.
This course leads to the PRINCE2 Practitioner level certification. Delegates are prepared for the Practitioner examination and will normally take this examination on the morning of the second day of the course.
Pre-Requisites and Pre-Course Preparation
Delegates must have attended a Foundation course and achieved a Foundation level qualification. Delegates that did not complete their Foundation course with us may not have all the necessary knowledge expected of attendees for this course.
In addition, delegates should allow for around 2 to 3 hours of evening work prior to taking the Practitioner examination. This is to finalise exam preparation and confirm understanding in any areas of uncertainty.
