Course Duration: 1 Day
Cost: £295 + VAT
Renewable Energy is becoming a must have on modern projects, but what does this mean in reality, is it feasible to do so and at what cost?
This focussed one day course will enable you to make informed decisions about the renewable energy options on your projects, answering the key questions:
What are the options available and which are applicable to my project?
How can I compare and contrast the available technologies?
What are the costs and how do I comply with current and future legislation?
The commercially available renewable energy options will be introduced and each set within a context of scale, cost, performance and return on investment. The current and future legislative framework will be introduced and the drivers, opportunities and incentives for implementation discussed.
Simple design assessment procedures will be outlined and supported with case studies and tutorial exercises throughout which will enable comparative assessment to be undertaken.
As part of the extended learning of this module a CD will be included containing a wealth of practical information, guidance, and best practice documentation, design and assessment templates, key references, further reading and sources of additional information.
The tutor is a chartered Civil Engineer and chartered Environmentalist with broad experience in the civil and environmental engineering field. A subject expert with extensive hands on knowledge, the tutor is the Curriculum Leader for sustainable development at SmartLIFE / Cambridge Regional College and is at the leading edge of specialist environmental and sustainability training, research and development.
