Overview
This is a one-day course covering the practicalities of preparing and pricing projects using the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
The delegates will be provided with invaluable practical guidance on completing the Works Information, Contract Data, pricing documents and Site Information for an ECC contract.

At the end of the course participants should be able to:
- Prepare the Contract Data parts 1 and 2
- Write the Works Information
- Prepare and price the Activity Schedule or Bill of Quantities
- Complete the Site Information
Intended for
This course is highly recommended for those professionals who are involved in the preparing or pricing of the ECC.
Delegates must either have attended an ECC introductory course or will have hands on experience of ECC projects.
Outline Programme
- Overview of contract documents - This covers an explanation of how the various contract documents fit together.
- Preparation of the Works Information - This will explain what the Works Information (WI) is used for, how the Employer puts together their WI and, where there is design by the Contractor, how the Contractor puts together their WI.
- Completing the Contract Data - Details how the Employer completes Contract Data part one and how the Contractor completes Contract Data part two.
- The pricing document - Explains the difference between an Activity Schedule and a Bill of Quantities, who prepares them, how they are prepared, their purpose and their use.
- Site Information - This will explain what the Site Information (SI) is and the limited use to which it is put in the contract.
